"From here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, beauty, wisdom, power, dignity and love." - Caroline Adams

Acting is a road to empowerment. When we express ourselves creatively, we make a connection. It is through this connection that we feel most alive. When we feel alive, we feel like we can achieve and create anything we want.

As an Actor, Teacher, Director, Writer and Motivational Coach for twenty years, Scott has learned that we are all connected by stories. And that is what art is. Sharing and connecting through stories. Whether we go to a movie, a play or read a book we are getting involved in the lives of others and learning something new about ourselves and the human condition.

The actor has a very special opportunity and unique place in our society. They have the opportunity to capture the truth of what people really think and feel and then live that truth in front of an audience or a camera. The actor can elicit deep emotion in the viewer; Emotions such as sadness, rage, laughter, or fear. It’s really an extraordinary gift.

Acting and life are about the same thing: Expressing yourself. We all have a story in us and we all have something to say. It is my mission is to provide clients with new and exciting avenues of expression, in order that they may expand their sense of confidence, passion and freedom.

We transform by getting connected to who we truly are. At the core of each of us is the creative, expressive, blossoming, abundant person we were born to be. This change is exciting, thought-provoking, stimulating sometimes scary but always expanding and progressive.

People are sometimes taught that who they are isn’t enough. They need to be thinner, taller, stronger, funnier, tougher or softer. In trying to fit into these roles they lose sense of who they are.

Acting is for everybody. We all act. We are always acting differently depending on the different situation. Does one act the same way with their boss as with their lover? What about with their mom as opposed to a bus driver? Do we act the same in crises as in times of calm? No, we are always acting. We are always adapting.

In acting we reveal life’s truths. Some of those truths we aren’t even aware of. Acting is a great tool for self-knowledge and living “in the moment.”

Acting can also teach one empathy. If you’ve ever watched the news and seen an emotional story and found yourself “feeling” for the person, you know about empathy. It’s just one more step to play a character. You relate to what the character is going through and by using empathy you put yourself in their “shoes” Anybody who can empathize with someone else’s feelings, and who can learn to understand their own, can act. It takes opening up those valves that have long been stuck.

This work is for those pursuing acting as a profession as well at those using it as a path toward personal growth and empowerment. For those who want to experience more of life and live “in the moment”

Acting is for anyone. All can benefit from it. Acting is for All.
